Qoin paints a new picture for internationally acclaimed artist Lynn Jaanz

Lynn Jaanz is in tune with her creativity. Not only can she proclaim to be an internationally acclaimed artist, but alongside her husband, Lynn also runs Jaanz International Singing Academy.

“My work takes me all around the world,” the gifted Gold Coast local said recently. “Usually, I go overseas to promote my work, that was until Covid hit.”

With almost 20 years of experience as a professional artist to her name and her work sought-after from galleries in New York to Rome and Milan, Lynn is currently preparing to have three of her abstract colour paintings displayed at the Venice Contemporary Art Fair, which starts on October 15.

Not one to shy away from a creative idea when she sees one, it’s no surprise that Lynn took an interest in exploring what Qoin could do for her business.

She saw the digital currency as a way of broadening her customer base and shoring up greater success in the future.

“Greg Rawlings told us about Qoin,” she said. “We decided that we could put the money that we would normally spend on travelling for work into Qoin and it’s gone really well.”

Lynn is such an advocate of the everyday digital currency that she encouraged one of her closest friends to join. She continues to do her bit to bring other small businesses into the Merchant ecosystem and help them move their enterprises into the future.

“You don’t even need to think about it,” she told us. “It costs you nothing [to join], just download the app [Apple store of Google Play] and give it a go.”

With a self-titled art gallery in Melbourne exhibiting her colourful designs that ‘explores the human condition and the complexities of living’ and a presence at Viking Framing Gallery in Mount Tamborine, interested buyers can easily access her work.

“I’ve also partnered with Di Henley [Henley Collections] on a line of silk scarves, and I’m also doing limited edition art prints.”

Inspired by how supportive the Qoin community is, while Lynn accepts Qoin in her business she also spends it regularly too.

“I get my hair done [on Qoin], my nails, I go out for breakfast on Qoin, and recently I got my carpets cleaned using a Qoin merchant,” she said.

“It’s an amazing concept … who knows maybe one day this will be king over cash.”
