Welcome to our September monthly newsletter from the Qoin Association where we update the community on all things Qoin. Please watch our QDN broadcast channel for weekly news and events updates

Qoin Corporate has moved into a new modern office space. After the current building in Southport was sold, we have relocated to financial and technology hub Bundall on the Gold Coast. The centrally located and newly refurbished office offers beautiful skyline views over Surfers Paradise, creating a positive environment for creativity and innovation.

In line with the Community Objectives for each group, the Community Group Leaders are currently developing and executing on their top 3 key action items for each objective. Once these are finalised, they will be published to the Community.

You can meet some of our community group leaders who feature in the spring e-version of the Q Mag which is now available on the Qoin website.

Here you will find their monthly newsletter giving an update from each group on what they have been focusing on and what their plans are for assisting the community. You can also make suggestions or contact the Group Leaders via their group email which is listed in this area of the HELP button.

Our monthly community chat is scheduled for the first Thursday of every month at 10am AEST. Please join us to hear directly from the Group Leaders and Qoin Corporate for the latest news within the project and ask any question regarding the project. We encourage Community participants to submit agenda items for discussion via the HELP button in the Qoin wallet and to spread the word to others in the community about the Community chat when you are making a sale or spending your Qoin.

The much anticipated third edition of the Q Mag has now been released to the Qoin community.  The 26-page Spring 22 issue is packed full of merchant stories and a collection of practical information on how Qoin can benefit small business owners.

We also check in with our charity partner, One Light Charity Foundation, the Community Group Leaders, our neighbours in New Zealand and a further update on our global expansion into the UK, Singapore, and South Africa.

Qoin is focused on bringing in more new merchants, products and services to Q Shop as we all want more merchants and products in the Qoin Community. Qoin has created a Refer a Merchant tab in the HELPbutton that includes a 6-minute Qoin video where Julia explains exactly what Qoin is, the benefits and how to get the wallet App. You can send the link to a business owner to educate them on Qoin and how it can benefit and work for their business. Have a look in the HELP button for details on the generous reward for both you and the new merchant.

The New Projects Community Group Leaders have been busy working on the GrabbaCoupon website and have invited the first beta testers. The website is a Coupon Sharing Platform where Merchants will be able to offer Coupons via the GrabbaCoupon.com platform using 3 simple and easy steps. Qoiners can then browse and grab a coupon of their choice.

The platform should increase spending opportunities for all Qoiners and may help improve communication channels, productivity and value between Merchants and their Customers. Merchants should be able to experiment their Deals with Qoiners and scale if successful. They will also be able to add their GrabbaCoupon links to their marketing and social media groups as well as the Q Wallet Directory listing. Features include Limiting the Number of Coupons per Deal, Expiry Dates and Daily Deals.

The Projects Community Group have been busy working hard on developing and encouraging Qoiners to do more face-to-face networking. We all have different personalities and some of us prefer to meet face-to-face to do business. The goal of this New Project initiative is to assist the community with building confidence and spending more Qoin. Most people like to do business with people they like and trust.

The ultimate purpose of the Group Networking Events is to bring Merchants together from the same areas. The idea is to meet regularly as a small, closed networking group and learn more about each other’s business needs. Events have already been held in Brisbane, Sydney, Rotorua and the Gold Coast with more planned for other areas. But remember what this networking looks like is totally up to you. It could be a breakfast or lunch for 20 or simply catching up with one or more Qoiners on a regular basis for a coffee. One of the main benefits of having a face-to-face catch up is the opportunity to introduce new prospective Merchants to the Qoin Community.

In collaboration with Community provider HotFindz, merchants now have access to their marketing mobile application for small, medium-sized and large enterprises, packed with innovative marketing tools using latest digital technology.

The HotFindz platform App also integrates and manages cash and Qoin transactions. Merchants set the amounts as “All Cash”, “All Qoin” or a mix of both. You also receive a full report that the transaction has been completed and by which customer.

Qoin will cover your onboarding fee to set up your brand on the HotFindz Platform. If you are a new Qoin Merchant, you will also earn the current new Merchant reward of A$250 of Qoin once you complete your business listing. The Hotfindz package includes:
Advertising on the HotFindz Community App which can be found in the App Store and Google Play store. Ability to Build your digital promotions in minutes and instantly put them up on the HotFindz App. You control the price, the amount and when you want your promotions published. With the unique engagement tool you can track the results on what marketing is working for you and what is not.

The Qoin.com wallet was recently activated in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Singapore. The digital marketing team continues testing various tools for efficient ways to digitally attract new merchants to the ecosystem in those countries. The next countries planned to launch the wallet application, subject to regulatory approvals, are Switzerland, EU, Brazil, UAE, USA, Canada and Japan which will see the Qoin.com wallet app available on all continents.

The beta testing is continuing to progress with 122 wrapped Qoin holders and a total supply of 2,187,818 million wQoin.

During the month of August 2022, the community transacted 2,482,671 Qoin across 7,441 transactions between wallets resulting in an average transaction size of Q334.

The Tech team this month completes the development of our latest Android and IOS wallet upgrades, which are expected to be submitted to the Apple and Google stores in the next 30 days.

• Ability to support more blockchains and crypto tokens
• An inbuilt voucher solution for merchants
• Overhaul of the current in app messaging functionality
• Biometric login functionality
• Enhancing the consumer and merchant onboarding for a greater customer experience

Many people from vulnerable sectors within our communities want to stay independent and understandably in their homes. Loved ones want to support their wishes but can’t help but be concerned for their safety.

In recognition and support of Men’s health, our socially responsible charity arm, One Light Charity Foundation, recently donated Rova personal medical alarms to the Men’s Shed.

Good health is based on many factors, including being productive and valuable to the community, connecting with friends and maintaining an active body and mind. In addition, becoming a member of the Men’s Shed provides a safe and busy environment.

Victor Jonathan, vice-president and secretary of the Men’s Shed, gave us a tour of their Shed in Nerang. We are impressed by their incredible woodwork and the valuable work they do beyond the Shed’s walls.

Not all Men’s Sheds are the same – you might see some men making furniture, restoring bicycles for a local school, or helping other communities to rebuild their lives in the wake of a natural disaster. They even recently offered support to Tonga and helped the Lismore Men’s Shed after the recent floods.
