Senator Andrew Bragg has sold a self-portrait non-fungible token for nearly $13,000 with all proceeds going to the The Dreaming Foundation.

The NFT dubbed the cryptosentor sold for 2.9 Ethereum which converts to roughly $13,000 Australian dollars.

Senator Bragg teamed up with creative Joan Westenberg to mint the NFT portrait of the politician, which was listed on the platform OpenSea for digital asset fans to bid on.

Senator Bragg who chairs the Senate Select Committee on Australia as a Technology and Financial Centre has been instrumental in supporting the cryptocurrency community by proposing legislation to regulate the sector.

Bragg will donate the money to The Dreaming Foundation, a First Nations organisation who deliver Aboriginal led programs and initiatives.
