Western United is proud to welcome Qoin into the Green and Black family as a Platinum Partner in a multi-year partnership.
Qoin will also be the Club’s first Member Partner, representing the loyal supporters on and off the pitch.
Western United CEO Chris Pehlivanis said a Member Partner will be a big boost for the Club throughout the season as it aims to set a record target.
“Having Qoin come in as a Member Partner is a major step for us to reaching our goals for the season,” he said.
“We are aiming for 10,000 members this season which would break our club record, and I’m sure Qoin are going to a big help in supporting us along the way.
“As a new company capitalising on the crypto boom, Qoin has a very similar scenario to us and that’s why I love this partnership. We’re both trying to grow and reach new people, and I’m excited for both our organisations to support one another in doing so.”
Qoin is a digital currency company, commencing in January 2020 and now amassing close to 40,000 business’ that accept its currency.
Digital currency has grown exponentially as an industry in the last 10 years, and Qoin is providing a unique and agile option in the market.
As part of the partnership, Qoin will also sponsor the pre-game Qoin Toss, which will feature engagement with members in the arenas at home games.
Andrew Barker, Chief Marketing Officer of Qoin, is looking forward to seeing his organisation grow alongside Western United throughout this partnership.
“We have had some previous partnerships in the A-League with our sister brand Bartercard over the years but we see this new multi-year deal with Western United as unique,” he said.
“As a new club in the Western Victorian region, we have been highly impressed with the corporate team and management in our dealings so far and are really excited to be part of their long-term plans for the Club, players and fans.
“We are excited to bring to the fans some unique offerings this season. It’s all about fan engagement and having some fun whilst introducing the players, fans and partnering corporates, the advantages the new world of digital currencies can bring to everyday life. We look forward to the opportunity and thank Chris (Pehlivanis, CEO) and Andrew (Pirchan, Commercial Partnerships & Sales Manager) for the opportunity.”
The purpose of Qoin’s currency is to be used in everyday life, giving business owners the opportunity to attract and service additional customers in different ways.
Since its launch last year, Qoin’s reach has expanded across Australia and into New Zealand, with further development in the United Kingdom and a number of other ways on the way in the future.
